There are no home theater in a box systems currently on the market that
include a separate component Blu-ray Disc player inside the box -- only integrated Blu-ray
home theater systems.
There are, however, several 7.1 and 5.1 channel surround sound audio
systems with HDMI audio and video switching available from Onkyo (HT-S9100THX, HT-S7200, HT-S6200) and Yamaha (YHT-791, YHT-591) that feature at least 4 HDMI
inputs along with advanced Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound decoding.
Each of these five HTIB audio systems will allow you to connect a separate Blu-ray
Disc player like the three pictured on this page using just a single HDMI cable to transmit both the audio and video signals. You can also
connect additional A/V source components to the receiver, and the receiver (except for Onkyo's HT-S6200) will upconvert any lower resolution video signals to 1080i/1080p,
and even let you run just a single HDMI cable out to your high definition TV or projector. |
