Yamaha YHT-690BL The
new $650 Yamaha YHT-690 5.1 channel home theater system in a box is pictured to the left.
The biggest improvement over last year's model is that the
receiver included with this one features 1080p compatible HDMI
1.3 switching (2 inputs, 1 output). It's also XM and SIRIUS
satellite radio ready, and Bluetooth compatible. 4 SCENE buttons
offer greater operating ease. Unlike most other HTIB systems,
the Yamaha YHT690BL has a B speaker output if you want to add a remote pair of
speakers! Yamaha's YPAO system uses the included microphone and sophisticated equalization
technology to automatically optimize the sound to your particular room's acoustics. With the optional Yamaha YDS-10 Universal Dock, iPod owners can listen to their iTunes and view the iPod images and
movies on your monitor via the receiver. You can operate your iPod using the receiver's remote control and the on-screen display, and
even charge your iPod!
